Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Our journey of how digital media was infused into the social studies curriculum in middle and high school classes to connect students to the global community. We will discuss the use of sites like Twitter, YouTube and more to meet the common core and to engage students in middle and high school. We will show how we broke down the walls and pushed our students to become global learners along with how to be responsible digital citizens.

Technology Integration Specialist, Teacher Librarian, Mt Ayr Community Schools
I am technology integration specialist and the Director of Technology. I spend the majority of my time collaborating and helping teachers infuse technology into their classrooms. Recently I have added the title Teacher Librarian. My purpose is to help the teachers enhance their teaching in their areas. I love hear what other people are doing in their classrooms and I can share what has worked for us in the small rural school district.
