Preventing the Zombie Apocalypse: Digital Tools for Student Engagement

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Engagement can be elusive in the classroom. In this interactive session, you will learn and experience strategies for designing a learning environment using digital tools in innovative ways to engage learners. Synthesizing current research about the brain, understanding of diverse needs, best practices in instruction, and the common threads in the Common Core, you will begin to rethink what education and school mean in the 21st century and how you can reimagine your role as an educator.

I'm a curriculum nerd, and love to share anything about mathematics, digital tech, and gifted education. I'm also passionate about equity and opportunity, personalized learning, and innovative professional development (Edcamp!). I want to learn more about project-based learning and makerspaces.
