Mason City Community School District
4th Grade Teacher
Mason City, Iowa
I teach fourth grade at Harding Elementary School in Mason City. This is my third year teaching, and is my second year in the Mason City Community School District. Prior to coming here, I taught 3rd grade in Mount Vernon. I am excited to help my students achieve their potential and learn from the professionals around me.

I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, but have family connections to Mason City with my mom having been a former student of Harding Elementary when it was a K-6 building. I went to the University of Northern Iowa and majored in Elementary Education while minoring in K-8 Mathematics Education, K-8 Reading and Literacy Education. I absolutely loved my time at UNI and am incredibly proud to be a Panther for life! I will be getting my Master's Degree from UNI as well in Instructional Technology in the near future. I am also currently working on becoming a Google Certified Teacher through Google's online Web Academy.

I am always trying to learn new Web 2.0 Tools to incorporate into my classroom and would love to chat with others who have knowledge to share in that area.
